Student voice is vital in the school community. Our students are creative and critical consumers who have, through the student council, the opportunity to influence change in the school to make positive outcomes for all. The student council is made up of representatives, elected from each advisory group. As we grow the representatives will come from advisory groups across year groups and then as House Council representatives. From year 3 we will have a Student Council which has elected members drawn from each House council- one from KS3 and one from KS4. Two students are also elected by the student body to represent the school as “Student Leaders”.
The aim of the student council is to ensure that students have a voice to discuss matters that relate to their overall well-being in school, their academic progress, improvements to school environment and their contribution to our social baccalaureate. The Student Council at London Enterprise Academy means that everyone is included. The Student Council will develop a strong voice, and contribute to making whole school decisions by attending school leadership team meetings regularly.
Students also hold a number of other positions such as school librarians, sports team captains, eco schools supporters, reading buddies, ICT champions, peer mentors and school ambassadors.
