Kingswood Grosvenor Hall Residential Trip

This year we went to residential at PGL in Ashford, Kent and took part in many fun activities. We had a very fun time and made unforgettable memories. From abseiling to ziplining and everything in between. The teachers and the staff at PGL were very friendly and made sure we were safe without taking away any of the fun.

Activities we did:

·        Rock climbing

·        Abseiling 

·        Raft building

·        Problem solving

·        Survival skills

·        Campfire

One of my favourite activities I took part in was laser tag as it was fast paced, action packed, competitive and overall, a great experience.

What skills have I taken from this residential?

I learnt about teamwork and resilience, especially during the raft building as we all had to work together to make a raft and sail across the river.  Problem solving helped to build my communication and leadership skills because we had to tell each other what to do and make sure it was clear enough for it to be understood by my peers.

This residential has taught me to overcome my fears of heights. It also taught me very important skills that can help me in many situations in life such as job interviews.
