The Geography Department at London Enterprise Academy strives to inspire young people to be passionate and informed about our world; it aims to develop young people who challenge their thinking by asking questions and seeking answers. Over the next thirty years we will all experience enormous changes in our planet as deforestation continues apace, polar ice caps and glaciers continue to melt and conflicts over food and water lead to war.

However, rather than being defeated by these challenges, our newly designed, project based, KS3 curriculum seeks to encourage students to explore and understand these issues, using the most up to date technologies and approaches and to consider how we can all play a part in finding solutions for the future. Through the projects we study local geographies, map skills, human and physically processes and patterns and a range of contrasting locations globally as well as investigating key topics like international development and making geographical decisions. Geography is about the world beyond the classroom and we therefore seek to engage students in fieldwork wherever possible, both virtually, through the use of technology, and physically.
