Religious Education

RE at London Enterprise Academy creates opportunities for our students to develop a sense of self, a sense of responsibility and an understanding of difference. The RE curriculum at KS3 has been carefully designed within our project based curriculum and uses the Tower Hamlets SACRE guidance to ensure excellent progression for our students from primary school.

In RE our students are encouraged to learn collaboratively and through discussion, and through the investigation of artefacts and the discussion of “big questions”, helping them to develop thinking and analytical skills. We consider the six major world religions through our projects by investigating contrasting religious texts, holy buildings, daily, weekly and yearly practices. We also investigate key ideas like environmental stewardship and moral questions.
