“If music be the food of love, play on.”

William Shakespeare

Music at LEA follows both the project and also the National Curriculum. Music involves a lot of learning which can be both hands on learning of instruments as well as more paper/computer based work such as composing, recording of music. There is also some technical learning around music theory. By learning how to listen to and play music the students will learn how to read and write music using a range of notation.

The students will work as ensembles and as soloists in order to learn how to perform with confidence, accuracy and flair. The students will learn how to play percussion, keyboards and stringed instruments as well as wind instruments in enrichment. Students will also use their voices as an instrument- singing is great for learning how to use the voice safely as well as using it to entertain.

Students will have opportunities to perform live to audiences and also we look forward to releasing our first album by the end of the year.

For students who want to have fun while learning notes, scales, dynamics etc. Choose a game and see what score you can get.

Create your own loops with this incredibly cool band!
